Hi there, I've had the CE-100 since November and love it. I have done towels, pillows, burp rags, t-shirts jeans and fleece on it with no problems. One thing to remember is that when you do towels, fleece etc is to use a water soluble topping. It helps keep the stitches from sinking into the pile. As far as differences between the 100 and the 200 the only difference is in the number of decorative stitches. They are the same otherwise. There are alot of people who own the 200 who would get the 100 if they had it all to do over again. There is a yahoo group dedicated to singer futuras with lots of helpful guidenace that I have found is a god send.Deb
Singer Futura Ce 200 Software Free Download
Hi,I am new to embroidering, just got a CE-100 real real cheap but did not come with the original software...does ANYONE know where to buy or download the original software? Have been searching singer site and many many others but cannot find the ORIGINAL software to purchase, or better yet to download for free. Can anyone please help me? Thx
Hi and welcome. I have a futura too! Hope you have got your files downloaded and working. PM me if you need assistance and I will try to help. You are at a great site for assistance. I have recieved so much help here, that I feel reasonably confident in offering my assistance now, too. Hugs Christine, Johannesburg
Hi Nicole and welcome to Cute, if I am reading your question right, you have received the designs from here and just can't work out what format to use? Is that right? If it is, well then here is something I got from the Singer Site which tells you which format you can use with the Singer sewing machines. The New Singer Futura range, eg, CE150, CE200, CE250, CE350, XL-400 uses .FHE embroidery format and also CHE (Compucon) design format - however the Singer embroidery software that comes as standard with many Singer Futura will automatically convert the following embroidery formats,XXXPSWPECPESHUSSEWEXPDSTPCS, FHE and CHE, purchase any of the above formats is fine. However Singer's most usable format is .XXXSinger XL5000 and XL6000 use the format with the file extension .XXXSinger's software called "Singer PSW" a hardware and digitizing software package will load and save in many different formats but buying .XXX you'll be safe.Older machines like the Singer Quantum XL-100, XL-150, XL-1000 use .XXX formatYou can use Wilcom Truesizer to change formats from one type to another or WinRar, or Pulse Ambassador etc. I am sure there are many other websites with free software too.Love and blessings Chris
